What happens after Betty wakes up?

When Betty wakes up, Mary Warren and Abigail are fighting. Abigail then slaps Betty and threatens her after Betty claims that “Parris doesn’t know everything” (like Abigail drinking blood and all that)

This man is like 30+ years old, and Abigail is 17 (keep this in mind). So John Proctor enters, yells at Mary Warren for disobeying his orders, and then Abigail gets zesty with him (their affair is revealed).

Why did Abigail (technically) start the Salem Witch Trials?

Since John Proctor rejected her, she begins to blame others and spreads rumors that Goody Proctor is a witch, setting off the trials (all because Proctor don’t love her and who would tho 💀)

What do the men bicker about?

After discussing what to do about the rumors of witchcraft circulating around town, Parris, Proctor, Giles Corey, and Putnam bicker about various land and property rights.

What happens to Tituba?

Once Abigail figures out that the allegations are slowly pointing towards her being accused of witchcraft, she quickly blames everything that happened in the woods and the allegations against Tituba. Parris, Putnam, and Mrs. Putnam begin threatening her, with Parris even saying he’ll “whip her to death”. Terrified, Tituba confesses to crimes that she didn’t even commit. Rev. Hale manipulates her into confessing as well.
