MEATS
-Call the number and then the type of meats
example: PULL 1 bacon
Drop
HASHBROWNS
"In the ring"=plain hashbrowns
"Scattered"=scattered hashbrowns
If the ticket calls for both kinds of hashbrowns say the number in the rings....example-DROP three hashbrowns, one in the ring
Mark
MARK=complete order
How to Call-In a ticket
-Stand on the mark "the white tile"
-Speak clearly and loudly
-Repeat the guest check from top to bottom and the abbreviations from left to right
-Listen to the grill operator to call back the order
-Thank the Grill operator for calling back the order
-Don't move from pull, to drop to mark without finishing the steps
On
ON is used when you have more than one of any item
-example: Pull 1 sausage, 1 bacon; Mark; Waffle "On" two
Make
MAKE is when there is a difference between two of the same menu items on a single order
-example: customer one orders a waffle and customer two orders a pecan waffle "Mark waffle on two; MAKE one pecan"
Like
LIKE is used when multiples of the same thing is combined on one plate
-example: Mark Grilled cheese on 2 "LIKE" 1
On-the-Side
ON-THE-SIDE refers to a menu item that would normally be served with other items
-example: A customer would like scrambled eggs with no grits or toast
Call in, "MARK order scrambled, ON-THE-SIDE (eggs and omelets are the only items that are called in as on-the-side"
Hold
HOLD means that a customer does not want something that automatically comes with the menu item
-example: "MARK texas patty melt; HOLD the onion"
Instead
INSTEAD is used when a customer wants to substitute and item not normally included with a meal
-example: A customer orders 2 eggs over medium but prefers sliced tomatoes "INSTEAD" of grits.
Call in "Order Over Medium; tomatoes "INSTEAD"
To-Go
TO-GO is used when a customer wants to eat outside the restaurant
-example: MARK; TO GO; Quarter cheese deluxe plate
