Variable.
How do you combine like terms in an algebraic expression?
By addition or subtraction.
What do adverbs of time tell us?
They tell when an action happens.
How are adverbs of manner typically formed from adjectives?
By adding -ly to the adjectives.
Where are adverbs of place usually positioned in a sentence?
They can be placed at the beginning or end, or after the main verb.
What is an adverb of intensity?
It answers the question to what extent an action is done.
What distinguishes an adverb from an adjective?
An adverb modifies verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs, while an adjective modifies nouns or pronouns.
What is an example of an adverb of frequency?
Always, never, often.
What should you remember when placing adverbs of frequency in a sentence?
For single verbs, place it after the subject but before the verb.
What do adverbs of place describe?
They describe where something is done.
What happens to the spelling of an adjective ending in -y when it is converted to an adverb?
Change -y to -i and add -ly.
What does it mean to evaluate an algebraic expression?
To find the value of the expression by substituting the variables with their given values.
