Air Pollution
Contamination of the indoor or outdoor environment by any chemical. This can be caused naturally, or by human activities.
Air Quality
Refers to outdoor air, measured by the presence, of the amount of different pollutants.
Climate
The measured weather conditions, in which is measured over a long period of time.
Climate Change
The change in global or regional climate patterns. Currently, it shows an increase for climate as year goes by.
Fossil Fuels
A non-renewable resource energy source, that can be found from the remains of plants.
Greenhouse Effect
A natural process, when earth’s atmosphere traps solar energy. This helps us keep warm as people.
Particulate Matter
A mixture of tiny, solid particles and liquid droplets in the air. This also includes dust.
Pollutants
A substance that can pollute something, and can contribute to air pollution.
Smog
This can lower visibility, for people and is a form of air pollution form fossil fuels. (A mixture of different pollutants)
Stewardship
Refers to the responsible management and protection of air quality through conservation practices.
