Universal Gravitation
A law stating that every point mass attracts every other point mass in the universe with a force that is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between their centers.
Gravitational Force
The attractive force between two masses, which can be calculated using the formula from Newton's law of universal gravitation.
Mass
A measure of the amount of matter in an object, usually measured in kilograms.
Distance
The amount of space between two points, crucial in calculating gravitational force according to its inverse square law.
Moon's Gravitational Force
The force exerted by the Earth on the Moon, which keeps the Moon in orbit around the Earth.
