A pattern formed when colored substances in ink or paint are carried up chromatography paper by a solvent.

The process where a liquid turns into a gas and escapes into the air, leaving behind dissolved solids.
Brine
A salt solution produced when water is pumped into layers of rock salt underground, dissolving the sodium chloride.
