what is test-retest?

involves administering the same test or questionnaire to the same person on different occasions

what is done with the results of a test-retest?

• two sets of scores would then be correlated to ensure they’re similar

• if correlation is significant and positive, the reliability of the measuring instrument is assumed to be good

what is inter-observer or inter-rater reliability?

includes having multiple researchers carrying out an observation to check if multiple people all agree on the outcome or result
