I. Olfactory Nerve
Sensory nerve originating from the sensory tissue of the nose.
ll.Optic Nerve
Sensory nerve originating from the sensory tissue of the eyes.
III.Oculomotor Nerve
Motor nerve originating from the midbrain.
IV. Trochlear Nerve
Motor nerve that originates from the midbrain.
V. Trigeminal Nerve
Mixed nerve originating from the pons with three branches: ophthalmic, maxillary, and mandibular.
Vll. Abducens Nerve
Motor nerve originating from the pons.
Vll.Facial Nerve
Mixed nerve originating from the pons.
Vlll. Vestibulocochlear Nerve
Sensory nerve originating from the sensory tissues of the ear.
IX. Glossopharyngeal Nerve
Mixed nerve originating from the medulla oblongata.
X. Vagus Nerve
Mixed nerve originating from the medulla oblongata.
Xl. Accessory Nerve
Motor nerve originating from the medulla oblongata.
XII. Hypoglossal Nerve
Motor nerve originating from the medulla oblongata.

The openings in the skull for the Olfactory nerve.
Optic Foramen
The opening in the skull for the Optic nerve.
Superior Orbital Fissure
The opening in the skull for the Oculomotor, Trochlear, and Trigeminal nerves.
Foramen Rotundum
The opening in the skull for the maxillary branch of the Trigeminal nerve.
Foramen Ovale
The opening in the skull for the mandibular branch of the Trigeminal nerve.
Stylomastoid Foramen
The opening in the skull for the Facial nerve.
Jugular Foramen
The opening in the skull for the Glossopharyngeal, Vagus, and Accessory nerves.
Hypoglossal Canal
The opening in the skull for the Hypoglossal nerve.
