Mental Disorder
Dysfunctional patterns of thoughts, feelings, or behaviors that interfere with daily life.

Anxiety Disorders
Includes: Panic disorder, agoraphobia, social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and other phobias. (Can also encompass OCD & Trauma/Stress-related disorders.)
Panic Disorder
Characterized by having unexpected panic attacks.
OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder)
Characterized by unwanted, repetitive thoughts, sometimes forming obsessions that may form compulsions.
Agoraphobia
The fear of being in situations where help may not be available/escape may be difficult.
Social Anxiety Disorder
Characterized by being intensely afraid of being watched and judged by others.
Generalized Anxiety Disorder
Characterized by continuous and pervasive feelings of anxiety. (Often times, no specific reason for the feeling of anxiety can be found.)
PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder)
Extreme anxiety caused by a specific, traceable traumatic event.
Schizophrenia (& its spectrum disorders)
Characterized by disorganized thinking, inappropriate behaviours/emotions, distorted perceptions (delusions/hallucinations). Psychotic symptoms are experienced with disorders on this spectrum.
