What is weight training?
The use of resistance to contract muscles to build strength, endurance, and size of skeletal muscles.
What are the three types of weight training?
Free weights, weight machines, bodyweight
Weight Room/Gym Etiquette
Put all weights away when not in use/or done, wipe down benches and equipment when done, do not drop or throw weights, no loud grunting or yelling, clean up weight room at the end of every period to be respectful for the next class.
What are the benefits of weight training?
improved physical appearance, increased strength and endurance, and better mental health
