Focuses light, changes shape based on seeing up close vs far away

Lens

Yellowish indent in central retina, gives sharpest vision

Macula

Back lining of eye, contains rods and cones

Retina

Detects light intensity

Detects the waves (color waves, detects color)

Cones

Colored part of eye, expands when dark and contracts when bright

Iris

Light enters through this, its a hole not an actual structure

Pupil

Carries visual to occipital lobe

Optic Nerve

Area where nerves exit, also known as “Blind Spot”

Optic Disk

Watery fluid anterior to the lens

Aqueous Humor

Gel like fluid posterior to the lens

Vitreous Humor
