pH scale
A scale from 0 to 14 measuring the acidity or basicity of a solution.
Neutral solution
A solution with a pH of 7, indicating it is neither acidic nor basic.
Citric Acid
An organic acid found in citrus fruits, used to produce citrates.
Sulphuric Acid
A strong acid commonly used in batteries and chemical synthesis.
Metal Oxide
A compound formed from the reaction of a metal with oxygen.
Neutralization reaction
A reaction in which an acid and a base react to form salt and water.
Salt
A compound formed when the H+ ions of an acid are replaced by metal ions.
Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH)
A common alkali used in cleaning products and soap making.
Filtration
A process used to separate solids from liquids in a mixture.
Titration
A laboratory technique used to determine the concentration of an unknown acid or alkali.
Precipitate
