Reliability
The consistency of a measure, or the degree to which repeated measurements produce the same results.
Validity
The accuracy of a measure, or how well a test measures what it claims to measure.
Inter-rater reliability
The degree to which different judges or raters agree in their assessments of a particular variable.
Test-retest reliability
The extent to which a measure produces stable results over time when measured again.
Internal consistency
The degree to which different items on the same test correlate with one another.
Cronbach's alpha
A statistic used to assess the internal consistency of a measure, typically a value of 0.8 or greater is considered good.
Face validity
The extent to which a measure appears to measure the construct of interest on the surface.
Content validity
The degree to which test items cover the entire construct being measured.
Predictive validity
The extent to which a measure is able to predict future outcomes related to the construct.
Convergent validity
The degree to which a measure correlates with other measures of similar constructs.
Discriminant validity
The degree to which a measure does not correlate with measures of different constructs.
