Morality
Standards of right and wrong influenced by culture and situation
AO1s- Morality
Pre-conventional morality:
According to Kohlberg, stages 1 and 2 form the pre-conventional level, where moral reasoning is based on self-interest, such as avoiding punishment or gaining rewards.
Conventional morality:
Stages 3 and 4 make up the conventional level, where individuals aim to be seen as good members of society by following rules, respecting authority, and conforming to social expectations.
Post-conventional morality:
The final stages, 5 and 6, are part of the post-conventional level, where moral decisions are based on universal ethical principles and personal conscience rather than societal rules.
