The Americans had very good spirit, but they truly lacked the proper equipment and training. They were fighting in Cuba, and they only had winter uniforms.

They were somehow worse than the Americans. They had wooden ships that sunk/caught fire easier than the American metal ones. They had bad leadership and poor communication.

Where the Spanish boats that were wooden went against the US metal boats. The Spanish got absolutely destroyed, and the only U.S. death came from a heatstroke.

A regiment in the U.S. army that was formed by Teddy Roosevelt. They helped fend off the Spanish when the US was outnumbered. Every one American soldier was worth 7 Spanish soldiers.
