 Why the book of Numbers called as Numbers.?
Numbers continues the history of the people of Israel during the 40 years when they lived in the wilderness between Mount Sinai and Canaan. It begins with Moses taking a census of all the people in each of Israel's 12 tribes which is why the book is called Numbers. Numbers is about the people who are rebellious, discouraged, and refused to believe that the Lord would take care of them. The book shows how the Lord protected the Israelites and wanted them to realize that he did not want them to be destroyed but he wanted to bless them.

It gives an account of a Gentile woman named Ruth. Tobit is an Apocryphal book. It is about a fervent believer in exile in Ninevah. He practiced charitable almsgiving according to the Mosaic Law in all his dealings with his people. At one point, the King of Ninevah seeks his life for burying the dead Israelites and yet Tobit praises God and seeks his mercy. Upon the change of leadership in Ninevah, he returns to the land as a poor man and goes blind. Tobit where God through time immemorial is preparing mankind for uniting us to Him in Christ.
