The Message
The danger of a single story is Adichie's message which is basically like you don't know the full truth or side of a story until you have the experience or see it with your own eyes.
Target Audience
generally, the target evidence could be anyone due to the fact that everyone could either be on the side of the story that actually experiences what happened like Adichie or be the Americans Adichie was talking about who didn't know that Africa isn't that different or that bad as they think, although this problem often comes up with young adults and in her case even people who are racist or single-sided.
Pathos connection
The way that Adichie used pathos in her ted talk is by not just telling her side of the story but how she understood the why her story was how it was (like how americans though they had different official national language, or different music taste, etc.). Also she got good reactions and used irony to make the audience laugh like when she was talking about how someone said why is all the african americans so abusive line in her book the dad was and then she went "well you see i recently read a book called 'American Psycho'"
Ethos connection
How Adichie uses ethos is with using her own experience as the story. She also didn't just tell her experience and story then leave it there. Another way she used ethos is topic of something that is very common tody. Her story is an example of stereotype, not just any stereotype but stereotype in our worlds races, ethnic, and different countries/continents.
To kill a mockingbird prejudice connection
Prejudice means a biased opinion. In Adichie's ted talk, she talks about how prejudice for her was people thinking that she had different music taste or she didn't know how to use a stove because she was black and from Africa. This was an example of prejudice because the majority of Americans haven't experienced the life of living in Africa and being black so they go off what they have heard about the culture and life factors which are usually just poor conditions and being bad people. This connects to how tom Robinson is black and no one believes that he didn't rape Mayella because he is black and the city of Maycomb is filled with racism.
