Analytic Cubism

sharp, muted colors, angular or geometric forms, gradiation that doesn’t make an illusion, mimics the figures, centered figure, transition from figure to ground is obscure, breaks down the object to analyze it

Synthetic Cubism

building the object up from scratch, ecclectic, saturated bold colors, simplified and identifiable, 2D
