Positive Psychology
A field of psychology that studies what makes life worth living and emphasizes strengths and well-being.
Materialism
A focus on physical possessions and wealth as central to one's life and sense of happiness.
The Material Self
Comprises possessions and people that individuals identify as 'mine', acting as extensions of their identities.
Bodily Self
Refers to one's own body and its parts, representing personal identity.
Extracorporeal Self
The extended self that includes possessions, people, and places that one identifies with beyond their physical body.
Consumerism
A social and economic ideology encouraging the acquisition of goods and services as a primary means of achieving happiness.
Hierarchy of Needs
A psychological theory by Abraham Maslow that categorizes human needs into a five-tier model.
Self-Actualization
The motivation to reach one's full potential, achievable only after lower-level needs are satisfied.
Physiological Needs

Safety Needs
