What is the capacity of the oil system?

18.5 US quarts

What duration must the oil level be serviced within after engine shutdown?

30 minutes, 15 to 20 minutes for most accurate results

What are the two oil levels?

ADD and MAX HOT

If oil is at or below ADD level, what do you do?

Service the oil level to max hot

How many pick up elements are there in the oil system? Where are they and why?

1 of them is located in the Center of the tank, submerged in oil. The other is located at the top of the tank, to pick up oil/prevent loss of oil pressure during inverted flight

Can the sight glass be used for checking oil level?

No

What is the purpose of the scavenge pumps? And how many of them are there?

2, to route scavenged oil (used oil) through the cooler before returning back to the tank

What oil pressure may the engine oil indicator indicate when the engine is shut down?

4 psi

What sensors oil temperature and pressure and where are they located?

Oil transducers located downstream of the main oil pump

Where does the data of oil temperature and pressure get sent to?

Engine Data Manager

What is the role of the engine data manager in the oil system?

Passes oil temperature and pressure data to signal conditioning unit

What does the signal conditioning unit do?

Contains the logic to illuminate warning annunciator on the CWS

When does the red OIL PX annunciator illuminate?

1. Above idle power, below 40psi

2. At idle power, below 15psi

When will both red and amber OIL PX annunciator illuminate?

When oil pressure have been between 15-40psi with PCL idle for more than 5 seconds

When does the amber OIL PX annunciator illuminate? (Pressure below limits)

1. Above idle power, between 40-90 psi for 10 seconds

2. At idle power, between 15-40 psi

What does is mean when both red and amber oil pressure annunciator illuminate with normal oil pressure indication?

SCU failure
