A type of Christ is a is a person, object, or event in the Old Testament that symbolically points toward Jesus Christ and his work in the New Testament. The first type of Christ i’m going to mention is the Passover Lamb. The Passover Lamb is a type of christ since it sacrificed for others like Jesus, it had no broken bones like Jesus, and was a perfect Lamb just like how Jesus was perfect. Another type of Christ is David. David is a type of christ since he was a shepherd and Jesus is the Good Shepherd. David was also defeated Goliath just how Jesus defeated sin and David was rejected by his own people before becoming king just how Jesus was rejected before he became our savior. Lastly, Solomon is a type of christ since he was known for great wisdom and Jesus is the embodiment of God’s wisdom. Solomon also built the temple for God just how Jesus built God’s temple in heaven. Lastly Solomon preached peace and Jesus preached eternal Peace.
