And he said to them, No doubt (or: Perhaps) you will tell me this parable, Physician, cure yourself; as many things as we have heard happening (or: being done) in Capernaum do also here in your hometown. but he said, Amen I say to you: No prophet is accepted/acceptable/welcome in his hometown. but I say to you in truth, There were many widows in the days of Elijah in Israel, when heaven (or: the sky) was shut for three years and six months, when a great famine came upon the land, and to none of them was Elijah sent except to Zarephath in Sidon to a woman, (who was) a widow (or: to a widow woman). And often it has cast him both into fire and into water in order that it may destroy him; but if you are able (to do) anything, help us, having compassion on us. and Jesus said to him, If you are able! All things (are) possible for the believing one (or: the one who believes). Straightway crying out the father of the child (παιδίου) was saying, I believe; help my unbelief. and Jesus seeing that a crowd was running together rebuked/censured the unclean spirit saying, Mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and do not enter into him any longer. And crying out and tearing/mauling/convulsing (him) much he went out, and he became as a dead person with the result that the many were saying: He has died (or: were saying that he had died). but Jesus taking his hand raised him, and he rose. and he said to [his] disciples, On account of this, I say to you, Do not worry/be anxious about your soul/life, what you should eat, nor for your body, what you should wear. For life (or: the soul) is more than food/nourishment and the body than clothing. Consider/Perceive the ravens/crows, for (or: that) they do not sow nor reap, to whom there is not storeroom nor barn, and/but God feeds/nourishes them. You are much more valuable than birds. but who of/from you by worrying/being anxious is able to add a cubit/hour to his height/age of life. If then you are not able (to do) the smallest thing, why do you worry (or: are you anxious) about the remaining things? Consider/Perceive the lilies how they grow; they do not toil nor do they spin; but I say to you, Not even Solomon in all his glory/splendor was arrayed/clothed (περιβάλετο) as one of these. but if God thus clothes (ἀμφιέζει) the grass being/existing in (a/the) field today and tomorrow being cast into (a/the) oven, how much more (will he clothe) you, little-faith-ones? Matthew

On account of this, I say to you, Do not worry/be anxious about your soul/life, what you should eat [or what you should drink], nor for your body, what you should wear. Is not your soul/life more than food/nourishment and your body than clothing? Consider/Look at the birds of the sky (or: of heaven), for (or: that) they do not sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and your heavenly Father nourishes/feeds them; are you not more valuable than them? but who of/from you by worrying/being anxious is able to add one cubit/hour to his height/age of life? And why do you worry (or: are you anxious) about clothing? Consider/Observe the lilies of the field how they grow; they do not toil nor do they spin; but I say to you: Not even Solomon in all his glory/splendor was arrayed/clothed (περιβάλετο) as one of these. but if God thus clothes (ἀμφιέννυσιν) the grass of the field being/existing today and tomorrow being cast into (an/the) oven, (will he) not much more (clothe) you, little-faith-ones? Therefore, do not worry/be anxious saying, What shall we eat? Or, What shall we drink? Or, What should we wear? For all these things the gentiles seek after; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. but seek first the kingdom [of God] and his justice/righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore, do not worry/be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry/be anxious about itself; sufficient for the day is its badness/trouble.

And stopping Jesus called them and said, What do you wish/want me to do for you? Mark

And they come (in)to Jericho. And as he was going out from Jericho and his disciples and a sufficient (or: rather large) crowd, the son of Timaeus Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting beside the way/road. And hearing that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out (κράζειν) and to say, Son of David, have mercy on me. And many were rebuking/censuring him that he should be silent; but he was crying out (ἔκραζεν) much more, Son of David, have mercy on me. And stopping, Jesus said, Call him. And they call the blind man saying to him, Take courage, rise, he is calling you. and he casting away his garment, leaping up, came to Jesus. And answering him Jesus said, What do you wish/want me to do for you? and the blind man said to him, Rabbouni, that I may receive sight. And Jesus said to him, Go, your faith has healed/saved you. And straightway he received sight and was following him on the road/way.

Luke

and as they were hearing these things adding/ proceeding he told (or: he went on and told; or: went on to tell) a parable because he was near Jerusalem and because they were thinking that the kingdom of God was about to appear at once. Therefore, he said, A certain well-born human being went (in)to a distant land/area to take for himself a kingdom and to return. and calling his own ten slaves he gave to them ten minas and he said to them, Do business while I am going. but his citizens hated/rejected him and they sent a delegation after him saying, We do not wish/want this one to rule/reign (or: be king) over us. And it happened as he returned (after) taking/ receiving the kingdom that he said that these slaves to whom he had given the silver/money should be called to him in order that he might know/learn what they had gained through doing business. and the first came along saying, Master/Lord, your mina earned/worked in addition ten mina. And he said to him, Well done, good slave, because you have been/become faithful/trustworthy in very little (or: the smallest/least thing), be having (or: have) authority over ten cities. And the second came saying, Your mina, master/lord, made five minas. and he said also to this one, You, too, be(come) over five cities. And the other [or (text): another] came saying, Master/Lord, behold your mina which I have had lying/laid away in a cloth (or: facecloth; or: handkerchief). For I was afraid of you, because you are a severe/exacting human being; you take (out/up/away) what you did not put (in/down/aside) and you reap what you did not sow. He says to him, From your mouth I will judge [or: I judge] you, evil/wicked slave. You knew that I was a severe/exacting human being taking (out/up/away) what I did not put (in/down/aside) and reaping what I did not sow (or … sow.)? And why (or: Then why) did you not give my silver/money to the tables (or: banker’s tables; or: bank)? And I coming would have exacted/collected it with interest (or: Then I would have come and exacted/collected it with interest). And he said to those standing by, Take from him the mina and give (it) to the one having ten minas. And they said to him, Master/Lord, he has ten minas. I say to you: To everyone having it will be given, and from the one not having even what he has will be taken (away). But/Except these enemies of mine who did not wish/want me to rule/reign (or: be king) over them bring here and slaughter them before me.

Matthew

For just as a human being going abroad called his own slaves and handed over to them his possessions, and to one he gave five talents and to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability/power. And he went abroad. Straightaway going (or [text]: he went abroad straightaway. and going) the one who received five talents worked/traded with them and he earned five others (or: five more). Likewise the one (who received) two (talents) earned two others (or: two more). but the one who received one (talent) going away dug up the earth/ground and hid the silver/money of his lord/master. and after much time the lord/master of those slaves comes and he settles accounts with them. And approaching the one who received five talents brought five other (or: more) talents saying, Lord/master, you handed over five talents to me; look I earned five other (or: more) talents. His lord/master said (or: was saying) to him, Well (done), good and faithful/trustworthy slave, you were faithful/trustworthy over little things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord/master. and approaching also the one (who had received) two talents said, Lord/Master, you handed over two talents to me; look I earned two other (or: more) talents. His lord/master said (or: was saying) to him, Well (done), good and faithful/trustworthy slave, you were faithful/trustworthy over little things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord/master. and approaching also the one who had received the one talent said, Lord/Master, I knew you that you are a hard human being, reaping where you did not sow and gathering whence you did not scatter. And being afraid going off I hid your talent in the earth/ ground. Look have (or: you have) what is yours. but answering his lord/master said to him, Evil/wicked slave and sluggish/lazy (or: timid), did you know that I reap where I did not sow and gather whence I did not scatter? Then it was necessary for you to cast/take my silver/money to the bankers/money-changers and coming I would have received/carried off what is mine with interest. Take then the talent from him and give (it) to the one having ten talents. For to everyone having it will be given and he will have an abundance. but from the one not having even what he has will be taken from him. And cast out the useless slave into the outer (or: outermost) darkness. There/in that place there will be weeping and grinding/gnashing of teeth.

Mark

Watch, keep awake/be watchful [and pray], for you do not know when the time is. (It is) as/like a human being abroad having left his house and having given his slaves authority, to each his work, and the door keeper he commanded that he keep awake/ alert. Therefore, keep awake/alert, for you do not know when the master/Lord of the house is coming, whether in the evening or at midnight or at cock crow or in the morning, lest coming suddenly he find you (pl) sleeping. and what I say to you I say to all, Keep awake/alert.

Luke

And (after) saying these things he was going ahead (or: in front) going up (in)to Jerusalem. And it happened when he drew near (in)to Bethphage and Bethany to/near the mountain called (the Mount) of Olives that he sent two of the disciples saying, Go (ὑπάγετε) (in)to the village opposite, in which entering you will find a colt bound/tied, upon whom no one of human beings has ever sat, and untying it bring/lead (it). And if someone asks you, Why are you untying (it)?, you shall speak (or: speak) thusly: Its master/Lord has need of it (or: [Because] The master/Lord has need of it). and going away the ones who were sent found (things) just as he (had) said to them. and as they were untying the colt its masters/lords said to them, Why are you untying the colt? and they said: Its master/Lord has need of it (or: [Because] The master/Lord has need of it). And they brought/led it to Jesus and throwing their garments upon the colt they put Jesus upon (it). and as he was going they were spreading their garments on the way/road. and as he was drawing near already/now to the descent of the Mount of Olives all the multitude of the disciples rejoicing began to praise God with a great voice concerning all the deeds of power which they saw saying, Blessed (is/be) the coming one, the king [or text/trans: the coming king] in (the) name of (the) Lord. In heaven (or: [the] sky) peace and glory in the highest (places/heavens). And some of the Pharisees because of (or: from) the crowd said to him, Teacher, rebuke/censure your disciples. And answering he said, I say to you: If these will keep silent, the stones will cry out.

Matthew

And when they drew near (in)to Jerusalem and they came (in)to Bethphage (in)to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples saying to them, Go (πορεύεσθαι) into the village opposite you, and straightaway you will find a donkey bound/tied and a foal/colt with her; untying (them) lead/bring (them) to me. And if someone says something to you, you shall say: Their master/Lord has need of them (or: The master/Lord has need of them), and straightway he will send them away. and this has happened in order that what was spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled saying, Say to the daughter of Zion, Behold your king is coming to you meek/gentle and mounted on a donkey and on a colt, a son of a beast of burden. and having gone and done just as Jesus ordered them the disciples led/brought the donkey and the colt, and they put on them the garments, and he sat on top of (ἐπάνω) them. and the very large crowd spread their garments on the road/way, and others were cutting branches from the trees and were spreading (them) on the road/way. and the crowds going before him and those following were crying out saying, Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed (is/be) the one coming in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest (heavens)!
