 How was the election of 1800 settled

The Election of 1800 settled by, First Jefferson and Burr tied with 73 votes so they kept going they were going to break the tie but after 35 they still were tied. So the tie is broken by Hamilton and says that he should pick Jefferson to the house of representatives and they make him president. Now when Burr finds this out he gets really mad at Hamilton because Jefferson is inexperienced but Burr is to chaotic ( no trust)

 Why was Marbury v. Madison so important?  How did Marshall settle it?

Marbury v. Madison (1803) was important because it gave courts the power to say if laws or actions go against the Constitution.Here’s how Chief Justice Marshall decided it:Marbury was promised a job by the previous president, but he never got it.Marshall said Marbury should get the job, but the law Marbury used to ask for it was against the Constitution.So, Marshall said the court couldn’t make the president do anything about it.This made the court's job clear: they could decide if laws were unconstitutional.

Lewis and Clark impacted the US by going on this exploration and found the newly acquired Louisiana Purchase  Territory and made it which no one thought they would do. Also  To establish a trade network across the country, to befriend the American Indians encountered, and to confirm or deny the theory of an all-water Northwest Passage to the Pacific Ocean.

How did Jefferson respond to Britain and France’s interference in our trade?

Jefferson responded to Britain and France interfering with U.S. trade by passing the Embargo Act of 1807, which stopped all American trade with other countries. He hoped this would pressure Britain and France to stop messing with American ships.But it hurt the U.S. economy instead, so Jefferson ended the embargo because it wasn’t working.

Why were the Alien and Sedition acts passed? Were they constitutional?  

The Alien and Sedition Acts were passed in 1798 to protect the U.S. from foreign threats and to stop criticism of the government.The Alien Acts made it harder for immigrants to become citizens and let the government deport them if they were seen as dangerous.The Sedition Act made it illegal to criticize the government.Many people thought these laws were unconstitutional because they went against free speech, which is protected by the First Amendment.
