Communication
Process of sharing information between others. Info can be thoughts, ideas, feelings, etc.
Verbal communication
Communication that involves words and sounds.
Nonverbal communication
Communication that involves gestures, expressions, body language, facial expressions, etc.
Channels of communication
The channels of communication by which we communicate. (Ex. verbal communication uses the channel of soundwaves)
Slang
Specific words that are new and have meaning to a specific generation. (Ex. 90's Slang included rad or tubular)
Message
The idea or information that someone might be trying to communicate with you.
Dialect
A regional/cultural version of a language that differs from the standard.
Psychological Noise
Thoughts or feelings that distract you from communicating.
Physical Noise
Actual noise that interferes with communication.
Semantic Noise
Trigger words that interfere with the overall meaning of a message.
Intimate space
18 inches or closer; used for close friends and family.
Personal Space
18 inches to 4 feet; used for friends and acquaintances.
Social Space
4 feet to 12 feet; used for meeting new people or formal appearances.
Public Space
12 feet and beyond; used for strangers and public speeches.

Examples of flawed logic.
Transfer (Propaganda Type)
Makes illogical connections between things to associate things to persuade you.
Red Herring (Propaganda Type)
A diversion to trick you from the actual truth.
Name Calling (Propaganda Type)
Links something or someone to a symbol to make you think a certain way about it.
Circular reasoning (Propaganda Type)
Argument that is based around the same claim, just re-phrased.
Glittering Generalities (Propaganda Type)
Applying emotional words on products so that the audience thinks a certain way about them.

A theory in psychology comprising five levels of human needs.
