Staple fibres spun into continuous yarns from any broken pieces of silk cocoon. Less strong and lustrous.
Silk noil:
de-gummed silk, cheaper, less durable, duller, fuzzier, etc. Made from shord leftover. Nubby, matte, casual garments.
