Integumentary system

Hair, skin, nails, sweat glands, sebaceous glands- Enclose internal body structures and site of many sensory receptors, secrete waste, produce vitaminD regulate body temp

Sends info to nervous system

Skeletal System

Cartilage, Bones, ligaments, Joints-Supports body, enables movement, produces red blood cells, stores chemical salts

Muscular System

Skeletal muscles, tendons- Enables movement, helps maintain body temp

Nervous System

Brain, Spinal cord, receptors, Peripheral nerves- detects and processes sensory info, activates bodily responses

Endocrine System

Pituitary gland, thyroid gland, Pancreas, Adrenal glands, Testes/ Ovaries - Secretes hormones and regulates bodily processes

Cardiovascular System

Heart, arteries, capillaries, veins, and blood vessels- Delivers oxygen and nutrients to tissues and equalizes temp in bod, transports blood

Lymphatic system

Thymus, lymph nodes, spleen, lymphatic vessels- returns fluid to blood and defends against pathogens, absorbs food molecules, defend against infection

Respiratory System

Nasal passages, pharynx, larynx, trachea, and bronchi, lungs- Removes carbon dioxide from body and delivers oxygen to blood

Digestive System

Stomach, Liver, Gall Bladder, Large/small intestine- Processes food for use by body, Removes waste from undigested food

Urinary System

Kidneys, Urinary bladder- Controls water balance in body and removes waste from blood and excretes them, maintains h2O, electrolyte balance

Male reproductive system

Epididymis, Testes- Produces sex hormones and gametes and delivers gametes to female

Female reproductive system

Mammary glands, Ovaries, Uterus- Produces sex hormones and gametes, supports embryo/fetus till birth, and produces milk
