When water enters the ground or soil from the surface

When precipitation that is unable to be absorbed by the soil, flows above the ground

The movement of water through soil layers

The downward and sideways movement of water underground through spaces between rock

When water is heated up by the sun and turns into water vapor

Transpiration

when moisture is released from vegetation through their leaves into the air

The movement of water from the earth’s surface into the atmosphere through the processes of both evaporation and transpiration

Condensation

When water vapor turns into tiny water droplets which forms a cloud

Water that flows downhill within the soil

The boundary between water saturated ground and unsaturated ground
