Arachnoid Mater

Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS)
Part of the nervous system that increases heart rate, blood pressure, breathing rate, and pupil size.
Schizophrenia
A serious mental disorder in which people interpret reality abnormally.
Stigma
Negative social attitudes toward a person or group based on characteristics such as mental illness.

Nerves that receive and transmit stimuli from the sense organs.

Subdural Space
Beneath the dura mater; the space between the arachnoid and the dura mater.
Pons
A portion of the brainstem connecting the medulla oblongata and cerebellum with upper portions of the brain.

An X-ray examination of the spinal cord following an injection of a radiopaque material.

A diagnostic test using magnetic waves to visualize internal body structures.
