Role definition
It is a part of an individual plays in life that carries with its expectation of how to behave in different situation.
Status definition
It is the importance of an individual’s position in the group, as perceived by group members.
An individual’s status can affect on their behaviour toward within a group.
Social influence
The effect of the presence or action of others
( either real or imagined ) on ABC ( affect, behaviour and cognition ).

Power definition
The individual’s ability to control/ influence the ABC of an other person or group.
A person’s status determine the amount of power they have within a group.
Social power definition
When power is involved in a social interaction which can be observed in all kinds of relationship and interaction.

Reward power definition
Ability to provide a desired consequences
eg: salary increase as the reward after completing 6 months hardworking
Coercive power definition
Ability to provide an unpleasant consequences.
eg: locking in the dark room when the prisoners didn’t obey the guard’s command.
Legitimate power definition
Power is given by a higher authority and may be due to role/ position.
Referent power
Power from other’s desire to relate to the person
eg: seeing the idol was cool at the performance and then they also want to be the same cool as their idol.
Expert power definition
Power due to skills and depth of knowledge
Information power
Having knowledge is useful that others desire and unavailable elsewhere
eg: someone who has a specific experiment that someone else want to know about.
