Water quality is very, very important due to the fact that most have permeable skin
you can even tell when water quality is bad bc the toads & frogs are the first to be affected

Photoperiod should reflect normal day/night cycle
Most frogs are nocturnal

Most species prefer semi-tropical environment (>75 F and 80% relative humidity)

Adults are strict carnivores, while tadpoles (young) are strict herbivores
Crickets and mealworms are most commonly used food
Insects are often dusted with vitamin/minerals before feeding
