Why is human dignity so important for society?

Human dignity is the basis of morality and is what makes us all equally good, it is not based off talents or contributions of the individual. 

Define common good

The sumtotal of social conditions which allow people, either as groups or individuals to reach their fulfillment more fully and more equally.

What are the 3 social conditions of the common good?

Respect for the individual, social well-being, and peace.

Define subsidiarity 

Idea that a community of a higher order should not interfere in the internal life of a community of a lower order.

Please give me an example of subsidiarity being violated.

National government mandating local public-school curriculum, local school boards know the needs better for each school.

Humans are connected through rights and privileges.

A healthy relationship between solidarity and diversity is where people are focused on shared interests and not identity, we realize people are different and diverse
