Titration
A technique used to determine the concentration of a solution (analyte) by reacting it with a solution of known concentration (titrant).
Standard Solution
A solution with precisely known concentration, used in titrations.
Buret
A piece of lab equipment used to accurately dispense variable amounts of liquid.
Erlenmeyer Flask
A conical flask used to hold the analyte during titration.
Indicator
A substance that changes color at or near the equivalence point of a titration.
Phenolphthalein
A common acid-base indicator that is colorless in acidic solutions and pink in basic solutions.
HCl
Hydrochloric acid, used here as the titrant with a concentration of 0.10 mol/L.
NaOH
Sodium hydroxide, the analyte whose concentration is being determined.
Maatkolf
Volumetric flask used to prepare solutions of accurate volume.
Pipet
Used for accurate measurement and transfer of small volumes of liquids.
Pipetpomp
Helps in accurately drawing liquids into a pipette.
