Acute Angle

An angle that measures less than 90 degrees.

Obtuse Angle

An angle that measures greater than 90 degrees and less than 180 degrees.

Right Angle

An angle that measures exactly 90 degrees.

Parallel Lines

Lines in a plane that never intersect and are always the same distance apart.

Transversal 

A line that intersects two or more lines in a plane at distinct points.

Line segment

Part of a line that consists of two endpoints and all end points between them

Midpoint

The point on a line segment that divides it into two equal parts, equidistant from both endpoints.

Angle 

The space between two rays that share a common endpoint

Adjacent angles

are two angles that share a common vertex and a side but do not overlap.

Vertical angles

Congruent angles that are across from each other on intersecting lines

Complementary 

Two angles that have the sum of 90 degrees

Supplementary

Two angles that have a sum of 180

Bisector
