Powerful society located in Peru, they had an expansive empire and where developed along the Andes mountain. They had incredibly advanced agricultural methods (terrace farming) and had a social order, they also relied on potatoes as their primary food source

The Aztecs

A powerful empire located in Central Mexico, their capital city had a population of 200,000 and developed chinampas, which significantly boosted agricultural activities.

Primary causes for European exploration

Religion→ Missionary work, Trade→ desired more trade routes, developing nations needed routes, land claims→ powers made claims to lad to spread their influence
