Homodiegetic narration
refers to a type of narration in which the narrator is a character within the story, providing a perspective from inside the narrative world. Most commonly first person narration.
Heterodiegetic narration
refers to a type of narration where the narrator is not a character in the story, providing an outside perspective on the narrative events. Most commonly third person narration.
Physical point of view
the position from a particular narrator or character from which a story is presented, focusing on the spatial or sensory details of the environment. It often emphasizes what characters can see, hear, or feel around them.
Mental point of view
refers to the inner thoughts and feelings of a character, providing insight into their psychological state and subjective experience. A narrator may reflect on an idea, creating a relationship between two or more things
