What to teach patient about warfarin

Patients should be taught to take warfarin at the same time each day, the importance of regular INR monitoring, and to report any signs of bleeding or unusual bruising. Dietary restrictions, especially regarding vitamin K intake, should also be discussed.

International Normalized Ratio (INR), which measures blood clotting time and helps ensure it remains within the target therapeutic range.
