Soft, inner section of a tooth

Enzyme

Chemical that speeds up reactions and helps digest foods

Bilirubin

Pigment released with bile

Insulin

Hormone produced by endocrine cells of the pancreas

Peristalsis

Rhythm-like contraction of the muscles in the walls of the gastrointestinal tract

Emulsification

Breakdown of large fat globules

Canine

Pointed, dog-like tooth medial to premolars
