Epithelial, connective, muscle, nervous
Epithelial
Definition - Controls what enters and leaves the body
Releases substances (like mucus or sweat)
Protects the body (e.g., skin barrier)
Example - skin, hollow organs, body cavities
Connective
Definition - support, protection and immunity
Example - Tendons & Ligaments
Muscle
Definition - generates movement & heat
Example - Skeletal, smooth & cardic muscle muscle
Nervous
Definition - detects changes in the body and generates a response
made up of Neurons (nerve cells) & Neuroglia (support)
