people responsible for running a business and achieving its goals. They must plan, organise and control and have leadership, motivation and communication skills.

customers purchase goods for their own use or resale
society
refers to local community and wider society nationally and globally. Wants business to behave in responsible manner and not damage environment etc.
government
refers to local and national authorities that set rules by which businesses must operate. Want businesses to: provide jobs, obey law, pay taxes. in return they provide schools, hospitals etc.
interest groups
organisations or people who share a common interest or goal. Influence decisions of others by lobbying or legal action.
lobbying
refers to to a deliberate effort by interest groups to influence decision makers by promoting a particular point of view.
IBEC
Irish Business and Employers Confederation. Main organisation representing large and medium businesses in ireland. They influence trade unions and provide advice.

trade associations
business interest groups that represent businesses involved in similar types of activities. Eg. SIMI(society for irish motor industry), FDII(food and drink industry ireland)
