I would inform the Soldier that uniforms must be properly fitted and serviceable. AR 670-1 requires Soldiers to present a neat and professional appearance. I’d recommend they replace the uniform and guide them to clothing sales or supply.

2. A Soldier reports to duty wearing boots with holes and significant wear. How would you correct the Soldier?

I would remind the Soldier that per AR 670-1, footwear must be serviceable and clean. Worn-out boots do not reflect a professional appearance, and I would advise them to replace them immediately.

3. During PT, a Soldier is wearing socks with a visible logo. What would you do?

I would remind the Soldier that socks worn with the Army Physical Fitness Uniform must be plain white or black with no visible logos, per AR 670-1. I’d recommend they get regulation-compliant socks.

I would inform her that per AR 670-1, earrings are not authorized in field or tactical environments, including the range. I’d instruct her to remove them and ensure compliance with uniform policy.
