Electronegativity
A measure of the tendency of an atom to attract a bonding pair of electrons. Atoms with higher electronegativity values tend to attract electrons more strongly, resulting in the formation of dipoles in covalent bonds when one atom is more electronegative than the other. The greater the difference in electronegativity between two atoms, the more polar (or dipole-like) the bond becomes.
Molecule Shape
The three-dimensional arrangement of atoms within a molecule.
Atom
The basic unit of a chemical element, consisting of a nucleus surrounded by electrons.
Hydrogen
The lightest and most abundant chemical element with the symbol H and atomic number 1.
