Ohmic Conductor
A conductor that follows Ohm's law, resulting in a straight line on a current-voltage graph.
Semiconductor Diode
A device that allows current to flow in one direction when forward biased, and has very high resistance in the reverse direction.
Forward Bias
The condition that allows current to flow through a semiconductor diode when the voltage exceeds the threshold.
Threshold Voltage
The smallest voltage at which a semiconductor diode allows current to flow.
Filament Bulb
A device that heats up as current increases, resulting in increasing resistance with higher currents.
