Two different ways that scattering happens what are they

Mie and Rayleigh

Rayleigh Scattering

small particles diameter < .01. Preferential to blue light, (shorter, why the sky is blue)

Mie Scattering

Due to larger particles like dust. Non preferential (why clouds arw white).

Molecular absorption

O3 (ozone) has a specififc joining angle at 116 degrees and its three others can only absorb energy at certain angles. Leads to divits in the energy observations by satellites.

Terrestrial Spectrum two different kinds

Atmospheric Window (10-13mm)

Fit to the dashed lines on the graph. the temp of emission is around 295K. energy is Coming from near the surface.
