harpers ferry
when John brown attempted to make a rebellion against slavery (that failed). Him and a group of ppl attacked the federal arsenal( a place where weapons are stored) In harpers ferry. He tried to get weapons and give them to slaves for them to help fight for the cause but for captured by Marines and was executed.
