What is the law of conservation in particles?
Particles cannot be created or destroyed except in pairs, where one is ordinary and the other is an antiparticle
What factors should be considered during conservation?
Charge
Baryon number
Lepton number
Strangeness (doesn’t have to be considered)
What happens during the weak interaction?
Change in quarks
Strangeness before, and none/less after, strangeness lost (not conserved)
What happens during the strong interaction?
No strangeness before, and strangeness created after
Strangeness conserved
