The United States would loan money to Germany. Germany would pay back France and Britain, and once the economy is working again, the United States.

Germany printed more money which lowered the value of money. People could not buy the necessities of life. Children would miss school because of lack of clothes.

What is the difference between totalitarian leaders and authoritarian leaders?
Totalitarian leaders control all aspects of government and civilian life. Authoritarian leaders are the most powerful people in government, but do not directly control civilian life.

The NEP- New Economic Plan- allowed people to sell their own products, and for some land to be privately owned. However, large industries, mines, and banks were run by the government.

Describe Hitler’s early life and how he came to power
Hitler served four years in WWI, and when he came back he joined a right-wing, political party. He staged an uprising and was sent to jail where he wrote Mein Kampf. The Depression brought more supporters to the right-wing ideologies. Upper class thought that Hitler would save them from communism. Within two months Hitler had taken over.

It was about Hitler’s struggle. It was highly anti-Semantic and anti-communist. He wrote about a “superior” nation and authoritarian governments.

hitler wanted all of the German speaking people to be united. He believed in a superior, “Aryan” race and wanted to move to eastern Europe and make the people there his slaves.

“Crystal Night” in German. It occurred the night of November 9-10 ,1938, but continued for many days after. During this period, nazis terrorized Jews. The name refers to the glass on the ground. Jews were forced to clean it up.
