Tell me about yourself?
I recently graduated from UCSB with a degree in Sociology, where I studied social interaction, solving problems, and building relationships. While a student, I’ve always worked in customer service positions where I developed strong communication, multitasking, and teamwork skills. I’ve always enjoyed roles where I communicate, organize, and persuade — like leading group projects and working in part-time customer service. I’m drawn to sales because it combines relationship-building with problem-solving. Cresta excites me because it’s at the intersection of AI and customer experience, two areas I’m eager to learn more about and contribute to right away.
What are your strengths?
I am very adaptable and eager to learn since AI evolves quickly, I believe that is essential in this field.
What are your weaknesses?
I don't yet have professional experience in AI, which means that I'll have a learning curve.
Tell me about a time you worked on a team.
In retail, teamwork was essential to keeping the store running smoothly. During holiday rushes, I stepped in to coordinate tasks between the floor staff and cashiers to make sure customers were taken care of. It taught me how to communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure and help a team deliver results/skills that I believe transfer well to working on AI or data projects in a collaborative setting.
Why should we hire you?
While I don't have yet direct industry experience in AI, I bring strong transferable skills from retail problem solving, customer focus, and adaptability. I'm motivated, coachable and eager to grow into this role. You'll get someone who works hard, learns quickly and contributes positively to the team.
Tell me about a time you worked toward a goal and overcame obstacles.
At my previous job, I was responsible for upselling products while maintaining great customer experiences. Initially, customers weren't responding to promotions. Instead of repeating the same script, I shifted to asking open-ended questions about what they liked or needed. This approach built trust and led to consistent upsells. It taught me that adaptability and listening are key to overcoming challenges in sales.
Why sales?
I enjoy the challenge of sales because it combines persistence, communication, and strategy. I'm motivated by clear goals and the chance to exceed them, but what really excites me is the ability to connect with people — understanding their challenges and showing how a solution can create real value. I see sales as problem-solving, and that's a skill I want to keep sharpening.
What do you know about Cresta's product?
Cresta is reimagining contact centers using AI in real time assistance. It combines human agents and AI agents to drive better customer experiences and operation outcomes.
Why do you want to work at Cresta?
I want to work at Cresta because it's combining AI with human strengths in a way that has real impact and customer experiences. I'm excited about the chance to learn from a leading AI company that's growing fast and to contribute my skills while developing my career in this field.
Why would we hire you over someone with direct AI experience?
Even though I don't have professional AI experience I bring something just as important, adaptability, customer facing skills and a proven ability to learn quickly I'm off in the go-to person for solving problems and training new teammates I'll bring strong people skills fresh perspective and the motivation to ramp up quickly and grow into the role.
