A non ferrous metal used for aircraft parts. Lightweight, high resistance to corrosion

Tin

A non ferrous metal used for coating cans. Ductile, malleable, corrosion resistant

Zinc

A non ferrous metal used for old fashioned buckets. Galvanising steel used as a protective coating. Low melting point, good corrosion resistance.

Silver

A non ferrous metal used for jewellery and plating other metals. Malleable, ductile, can be soldered

Gold

A non ferrous metal used for jewellery. Malleable, ductile, corrosion resistant, can be soldered

Bronze

A non ferrous alloy used for coins. Tough, corrosion resistant and can be cast

Brass

A non ferrous alloy used for old fashioned taps. Corrosion resistant, good electrical and thermal conductor. Low melting point and casts well

Pewter

A non ferrous alloy used for small decorative items. Malleable, low melting point, casts well

Duralumin

A non ferrous alloy which is lightweight, making it suitable for aircraft parts. Ductile, becomes harder as it is being worked
