Computing Innovation

refers to the creation and development of new technologies, systems, or applications that improve or revolutionize the way we use computers 

Collaboration

the process of two or more individuals working together to achieve a common goal, often involving the development of a computing innovation

Online tools

various software applications and platforms that people use to collaborate, develop, and share their computational artifacts

Interpersonal skills in effective collaboration

what is needed to effectively interact and communicate with others, especially in collaborative contexts like developing computing innovations

Data values

specific pieces of info that a computer program uses and manipulates

Digital data

info information represented in a computer system using a series of discrete symbols, typically binary digits (0s and 1s)

Bit

the unit of digital information, representing a single binary value that can be either 0 or 1

Byte

sequence that consists of 8 bits

Abstraction

process of reducing complexity by focusing on essential characteristics and hiding unnecessary details

Number bases

the different systems used to represent numbers, each with a specific number of unique digits (or symbols).

Binary

the base-2 numeral system, which uses only two symbols: 0 and 1, to represent numbers

Decimal

the base-10 number system, the one we use every day, where each digit's place value is a power of 10

Place Value

the numerical value a digit holds based on its position within a number
