Justification
The transformation of the sinner (all of us) from a state of unrighteousness to a state of holiness with God. It is an act done by God that requires our free participation with His grace. We are justified by the Sacrament of Baptism, which makes us children of God. Our justification, or salvation, is won for us by Christ's sacrifice on the Cross and by His Resurrection.

Why did Jesus descend into hell after His Death on the Cross?
By descending into the realm of the dead and freeing the souls of the just, Jesus fulfilled the Gospel message and brought His redemption to people of all times and places.
What are two signs or reasons we know Christ's Resurrection was an actual historical event?
1. The first sign that Jesus had risen from the dead was the empty tomb.
2. The second was that Jesus proved His Resurrection by appearing to His disciples and many others, showing it was a real event where the tomb was empty and He was alive.
How was Jesus' return from death different than Lazarus?
Jesus did not simply return to earthly life like others He raised, but instead rose to a new life beyond time and space, with His body filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.
In what three ways does the resurrection confirm Jesus' divinity?

At the Last Supper, Jesus turned the bread and wine into His Body and Blood, commanded His apostles to continue this in memory of Him, and through the Eucharist, His sacrifice becomes present so we can take part in the mystery of Redemption.
How is The Last Supper- The Great Passover present at every holy Mass?
His death on the Cross happened it is not repeated, the Mass is the same sacrifice made present again.
Why is Mary Magdalene often referred to as the apostle of the Apostles?
Jesus commissioned the Apostles to share the Good News of His life, death, and Resurrection, and Mary was the first to see Him after He rose and to tell the Apostles the news.
